Gender Nuetral?

I think this has really gone too far... http://t.co/Fxi4kqOS I mean seriously? "Let the kid be what it wants to be..." Does that sound stupid to anyone else? How about letting the kid be what God wants it to be? I mean if God intended for people to choose gender He would give us the option before we're born don't ya think? There is supposed to be a distinction between gender... not confusion. To be honest this digusts me... but whatever... its their kid they can do with HIM what they want to. I just can't help but feel sorry for him...

Guest Blogger ~ Spencer B.

The following is a prayer request from Spencer.

"I posted this a really long time ago but my friend Michael (who's 13), has something that causes his all his brain neurons to be destroyed over a period of a long time. He is bedridden and slowly is passing away. He can still speak a bit and still understands. Its a tremendous thing to go through as a parent and at 13. So just prayers for spiritual strength for him and that he wont have migraines or seizures, just not any pain. And then spiritual and physical strength for his parents. This is their only child. They are Christians."

So in case you didn't know....

I don't cook.
I dislike everything about golf.
I'm not a big fan of facebook.
I do not have the ability to train my grandparents dog to play soccer.
I love everything about OSU and I hate everything about Michigan.
I am never asking my sister for a band aid again... (see my post on twitter)
I have failed to understand why we park on a driveway and park on a parkway.
I have discovered that a quick way to get all your friends to shutup is to say that your Mom is calling.
I think that blond jokes should be changed to brunette... and then I look at my sister and change my mind...

So, now that you know some absolutely useless information.... have a great day! ;)

How I spend my Saturday:)

in answer to your question no you don't want to know;)

A Real Athlete

For as long as I can remember I've been an athlete. I have been playing soccer for 9 out of my 14 years on earth. It's been a major part of my life for what seems like forever. It's the on place where I can be myself. It's the one of the things I'm good at.

Playing soccer became instinct. Blood, sweat, and tears were no strangers. Hard work, will, and dedication were always in the vocabulary. Injuries were not uncommon. I cannot think of one time I did enjoy the game even a little bit. It was something I loved doing and it soon became one of my main priorities. And that's where I went wrong.

I was willing to sacrifice time and energy, get hurt, work hard, and train for soccer but not anything else. I made soccer a higher priority than my relationship with my family, God, my friends, and school. Subconsciously I was willing to sacrifice more for a sport than anything else. Honestly I didn't care about school that much. I was only focused on one thing: soccer. Even after I got saved I spent more time with my ball than my Bible, more time on the field than in church and that is not something I'm proud of.

I had my priorities all mixed up. I set my priorities by my standards instead of God's. I failed to see that God and soccer go hand in hand. They're not separate. You see, being an athlete takes hard work and dedication. You have to want it more than anything else. You have to be willing to lose. You have to be strong and tough even when you're tired and/or hurt. The same thing is true for a Christian. We're athletes in training to win the best prize of all. But it's not comin' easy. Just like I said before, a true athlete must be willing to go through those things. You have to work hard to earn your spot on the field. Don't think that just because you're on the team that you're fine. Do you wanna just sit on the bench and not help your team out? You have to want that spot and you have to earn it. This isn't little league anymore. Not everybody gets a chance to play. And just because you work hard doesn't mean you're always gonna win. But no matter what you praise God because we are commanded to. It's not always going to be easy but the prize you will receive is greater than anything you will have to go through. You will be rewarded for your faithfulness.

One key thing that all true athletes have is heart. Every ahtlete knows that without heart you're not gonna get anywhere. Talent is nothing without heart. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times: "I'd rather have someone 100% heart and 0% talent than someone with 100% talent and 0% heart."

As Christians we need to start training to win that prize. We need to stop treating religion like its in it own separate category because its not. Just like I did with soccer we need to have Christ be our main priority and everything else will fall into place. We have to learn to get our priorities straight. I realized that there is way more to life than sports. I am going to put my main focus on what truly matters which is living for Christ.

I'm not saying all this to say that sports are bad. I will continue to play soccer and love every second of it but now in a new perspective. My life does not revolve around soccer anymore... it revolves around Christ.

When I play I need to make sure I'm playing for the right reasons. I need to live in a way that glorifies God and if I can do that on the field then there is reason why I shouldn't but if I can't I have no business being out there. God doesn't tell us to honor HIm when we feel like it or when it's convenient. We are commanded to honor God is all things all the time.

We have to constantly remember that we should not be playing to impress people but to honor God. I promise you no matter how hard it gets the reward will be that much greater and with God on your side all things are possible.

Never think for a second that God doesn't care about sports or school because He does because He cares about you. But He cares mainly about you your heart. And that's where you need to start. A life full of Christ a heart full of joy and a mind full of Christ.

Isn't it pretty??? Ok maybe pretty isn't the right word but it's cool right??? ;)

A Wicked Mind

I am really enjoying my Bible class this semester. I am learning a lot. But what I love about it is that what we're learning applies to real life. We're not just learning this to get a good grade. The following is from my Bible book.

"Every human mind is deceitful and totally messed up. Therefore, when I was born, my mind was completely wrong about all things, but because it was deceitful, I did not know it. My own thinking both lied to me and tricked me into believing it was reliable. Sin had so corrupted our hearts that, though we were doomed and helpless, we did not know it. Romans chapter 3, verses 10-12, leave no doubt:'It is written, There is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become profitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.'"

We need to be constantly reminded that we have wicked minds. We can justify anything we do by our minds. That's why it is vital that we ask  beg God to guide us. We should desire to honor God in all things and we can't do that in our own strength and our own mind.

just some sentences...

So, I'll give you guys just a quick little update about life.
I started school back on Wednesday.
I won't be playing soccer this season because there's no age group at our club for a team.
I'm starting violin on Friday:).
I ran 2.68 miles yesterday.
I just went through and labeled all of my posts, added Jack's other website to my blog list, and posted a picture of my Mom and Dad.
I am ready for summer.
I am still having trouble with my knee.
I have a geography and science test tomorrow.
I wish more people commented on my blog posts.
I wish more people read my blog.
I am praying for Jack.
I have been reading my Bible everyday and the Lord has been showing me amazing things through His Word.
I have learned to trust the Lord's decisions.
I have had to let go people I loved.
I am rejoicing in all things because I have the joy of the Lord.
I am choosing not to be a typical teenager.
I'm wondering if anyone is still reading this................. ;)

Love never fails....

Just so you know...

I've added both of Jack's websites to my blog list. Please go and check them both out. And don't forget to pray for Jack.

So you know that number... the one that athletes have...

Athletes that read this are gonna know exactly what I'm talking about but those who aren't, well, they're probably gonna be confused. An athletes number at first is just simply a number. As time goes by it becomes much more than that. It becomes the number you put after your name when you sign something. It becomes the number that you write on your hand, your notebook, your homework, etc. You see an athlete soon becomes known by his number. It's his identity and he wears it proudly. So next time you see an athlete with his number proudly on him don't just blow it off... now that sounded entirely way out of proportion but you get the point right? It's a really important number.

God's Will

So, on my lunch break I though I'd do a post about something that has been heavy on me heart very recently. Some of may have heard and Jack Jablonksi (hope I spelled that right). He's a 16 year old hockey player who was recently paralyzed as a result of a check in a hockey game. I encourage you to look him up. He has a caring bridge site that can give you more information. With me being athlete this kinda hit home. I don't know what it is but I just have this odd connection with other athletes... anyway... It really got me thinking... I know that God is a very just God and He is beyond fair. I know that we all deserve to be in hell forever but God saved us from that if we accept Him. I know that bad things happen to good people for a reason. I know that if you are in God's will, all things will work together for your good and God's glory. So why did God allow this to happen to Jack? I don't know. Nobody knows. But God does. Jack's story has kinda occupied me for the past few days. I keep wondering why God did this. And then it hit me... to bring glory to Him. If you read Jack's blog you can see just how many people have already been touched by his story. I mean I really don't know anything about this kid or his family or his school but his story has touched me. I know that he's going through a really hard time right now. I don't want to take away from that but what's he's going through right now is part of God's perfect plan for His life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." As humans we can't see how this is going to work together for good but God can. God will never give us more than we can handle. And even when it seems like we can't give any more Matthew 19:26 says, "And Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, But with God all things are possible'." Remember that God is a just God. He cares for Jack even more than his parents do and He will take care of him. My prayers are with the Jablonksi family and Jack especially.

The Defintion of You

What I'm about to post is copied from my Bible book... These are not my words.

The Defintion of You
"Now define yourself-not merely your identification, but your unique character-your personality. How would your friends and family define you? How does God define you? Your actions define you to some extent. Scripture, however, goes deeper than mere actions; it goes deep into the mind, or the heart. Proverbs 4:23 says that out of the heart "are the issues of life." So do we define ourselves by what we think or what we do? Obviously, thought leads to action. We will not try to separate these processes since the Bible does not. What a man thinks and what a man does are what a man is.  Therefore, what you think and what you do are the definition of you."

Carefully think about what people would define you as. Maybe you could even ask some people to define you. This is a great reminder that we should constantly be thinking about what we think about and what we do. Those things not only affect ourselves, but others also. Don't go through day by day being the same person. Ask God to do a work inside you so great that people will talk about what He did. We can do nothing in our strength but with God all things are possible.

"What you think and what you do determine what you are, and what you are determines the influence you have on the many people around you."

Amazing little blessings...

It never ceases to amaze me how God works. I mean literally everything He does is amazing. He saved our lives by dying for our sins and chooses to bless us just because He can. We can do all the right things but we still don't deserve the many blessings God has given to us. I was reminded of this today. For Christmas, I got a $5 Academy giftcard (which was awesome:)). Today we went shopping so I asked to go by Academy and spend it. Well, typical me couldn't make up my mind so I just let my Mom buy it off of me and use it later. She bought about $44 worth of stuff and was just going to use the giftcard to help pay for it. When the guy rang it all up and scanned the giftcard, he said that the remaining balance on the card was $5.32. Now remember it (supposedly) only had $5 on it. So, after checking with the cashier to be sure, we called the friend that gave it to me and asked how much they paid for it and sure enough they paid five dollars. They called Academy and told them what happened and Academy said it was their mistake and to keep the fifty dollar giftcard. It's amazing how the Lord blesses. Something else I learned through this is that Academy had excellent customer service;). Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Verse of the Day ~ 1/2/12

So, instead of trying to do a picture every day this year I'm going to try to do a verse every day (well, every week day).

James 4:17 ~ So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Happy New Year!!!

I absolutely can't believe that this is almost over... just two more hours left in this year. It's gone by way faster than usual. But I have no regrets. It's been a great year. I am looking forward to this coming year. Making new resolutions is really fun... although sometimes hard to follow through with. I try to make my resolutions reasonible. I don't like making goals that I can't set. Sorry if my thoughts seem kinda scattered tonight... I haven't had much sleep the last couple days to spite the fact that I'm on break. Speaking of break, it's almost over... Tuesday is the official end of my break. Well, I'm gonna go and watch tv... then watch the ball drop.... then watch the back up of my eyelids... Have a great night and happy New Year!!!!! :D

Christmas Eve

Well, it's Christmsa Eve. I honestly can't believe it... not only has this year gone by fast, this Christmas season has gone extremely fast. Christmas is my most favorite time of year. I love the different lights and all the other decorations. I just have to remember the real "Reason for the Season." It tops all the Christmas trees, the lights, and yes even the presents. We were given the greatest Christmas ever... we don't need anymore after that. So, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas!

just some sentences

I have yet again failed epically at keeping this blog up to date... big shocker there;). Oh well... Well, I've been sick for the past couple days... since Sunday afternoon... I hope I'm better by Christmas! Actually I really wanna be better by Thursday because one of my friends is having an airsoft war and I really want to go it... and Caroline is coming over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooooooo excited:D Well, I'm gonna go lay down and drink some juice...ugh... the joys of being sick... (:

I can't believe it...

I can't get over how fast this year has gone by... I mean it's already December! Oh well... they say the older you get the faster time goes by... I must be getting really old. I was gonna do a 25 days of Christmas thing but I missed the first 5 days of December so I'll just figure out something else to do... :). I hope all of you read the guest post from Paul. It is something that he thinks is really important and I agree with him. Our nation is definitely not what it was founded on anymore and absolutely needs prayer. It's amazing how many problems can be solved if you just center everything you do around God. Well, I will leave you with that thought. I hope you all have a great evening!

Guest Blogger ~ Paul M.

The following post is from Paul. He asked me to repost this and get it out to as many people as possible. I think this is something we all need to do.

During the next couple months my youth group and I at my church have started something. We all agreed to pray for our country and its leaders so that God will direct us back to Him. I was wondering if you all could join us in this movement. With all the elections and crazy things happening we thought that we should pray on these things. We all have witnessed the power of prayer in this world and how it affects all of us. I would be eternally grateful to you guys .Thanks

Thanksgiving ~ Part 3

So, here I am again. Day three I haven't missed one yet! Aren't you impressed? ;) Day three: I am thankful for the ability to run. That's not exactly a thing but it is definitely something that makes my life better. I ran for 30 minutes (in case you were wondering;)) today. It was a great run. It reminded me that I should be thankful that I can run. Some people can't run because of various reasons... but I (most of the time) do. That is also something that I take for granted. I forget that I don't need a gym or a workout buddy... I just need some asphalt and running shoes. So what are you thankful for today?

My True Love

I thought I'd do another post for today... I'm not quite sure why... especially since I just did one but I realized I haven't talked about something (that I am very passionate about) for a long time. Can you guess what it is? Running. The past couple months my running has gone way down but only because fitness at soccer has gone way up... and I had a couple injuries I had to get healed up. But on Saturday I ran 2.5 miles with my Daddy and it was amazing:). No matter how many times I get out there and start running the feeling never gets old. It almost makes you feel invincible... well... at least for the first couple miles... then that feeling slowly fades away if you know what I mean. Well, as soon as my Mom gets home I'm goin' out for another run. Not sure how far today... depends on my knee... and what my determination is... ;).

Thanksgiving ~ Part 2

I am very thankful for God's grace and mercy. Sadly, I take advantage of this very often. I go through days and don't even think about thanking Him for saving me and forgiving me and loving me. I have a verse (that doesn't really have anything to do with what I just said) that I would like to share with you.
Philippians 4:6 ~ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
I hope y'all have a great day!

Picnik... :)

Thanksgiving ~ Part 1

So, Thanksgiving is this week and I figured all of my posts should be about Thanksgiving for this week. I will post (or try to) everyday about something that I am thankful for. So, day 1 I am thankful for my family. One thing about my family is they're not all related by blood. I have some friends that I consider family. I am so blessed to have them. I was blessed enough to be born and raised in a godly home. I was brought up learning about God. I realize that not many people have that opportunity. I often take that for granted. So what are you thankful for?

That's What I Love About... Saturday;)

Yes. I do know that the title of the song is 'That's What I Love About Sunday' but it's not Sunday... So, it's been almost a week since I last posted and that's mainly because I was on vacation from Sunday through Wednesday and then I have school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I would've posted yesterday but my awesome Grandma came over and spent the evening with me since my parents were leaving. I would've stayed by myself but I figure if you have to oppurtunity to spend time with people you love don't take advantage of it... so I didn't;).

I just got back in from running with my Daddy :). I only ran about 2.5 miles... my Dad's still out running... my guess is he's gonna run about 5 miles. I'm glad that I have a very fit Dad but I hate the fact that he can out run me... give it a couple years... I'm not a long-term runner... I'm a sprinter... oh well;). The rest of my day will be spent cleaning the house for Thanksgiving, doing homework, and helping my Dad with the Christmas lights outside (don't worry we're not turning them on till after Thanksgiving). We have a lot to do this year for Thanksgiving... this is will be the first year that we're having it at our house. Because of that, we have a lot of cleaning to do. Our house isn't a disaster or anything but things need to be picked up, dusted, and vacuumed. Well, I guess I better go and start my work so I can have some free time later:). Below are some pictures of our vacation.

Good Morning!

Well, I hope all of you are having a great morning. I am. Mainly because I am so physched about heading up to the mountains today! I have been looking forward to this for weeks. I will definitely have pictures to bring back and show you guys. I still don't have a camera but my awesome new ipod touch (which I showed you in my post yesterday) have a camera on it... well two actually but they work like one. You know what I mean right? Anyway, I have that and my phone and of course my Mom will have her camera. Well, I guess I better go and get my stuff ready to go and then get myself ready for church. But I will post a few pictures up here since I am so behind on posting. Have a great week!
my beast new cleats:)

our youth group had a bonfire one Wednesday night... so much fun:)

this is what you look like after a soccer game if you played hard;)

yes our temps did get up to 109... but they got higher... I just didn't have time to get that picture... oh well;)

I DID IT!!!!!!!

<iframe width="960" height="720" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q16QaRgHjzQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's true.... I have a youtube account now. Only because my gmail account automatically signs in when I go to youtube. But now you can see my video that I made!!! Aren't you excited??? Enjoy;)

So yeah...

I have totally failed at keeping this blog even remotely up to date. I apologize. I mean I know how it annoying to get into a blog and then the person never posts anything. Not that that many people are into my blog but I thought I'd just throw that out there. So, my life has been slightly less boring during the time I haven't posted. My life has been kind of up and down lately but more on that later. I just wanted to give a slight update on my life... not a big, long, drawn-out post about every area of my life. That would be weird. ;) So, soccer season is basically over... my last game(s) were last weekend but practices go through December 1st. Of course I'm not complaining:). School has been very, very busy. I hardly have time for anything else. But, that's the life of a teenager. Well, a teenager that is an athlete and doesn't just float through school if you catch my drift. Oh and I almost forgot... I have started saying things like "if you catch my drift" and "well, I guess you're not the sharpest pitchfork in the barn..." and please don't ask why... *cough*Dad*cough*... ;) But anyway this post ended up being way longer than I had planned and I haven't even put up any pictures yet! Oh well... one very important thing I have learned recently is that things can't always be planned... they happen by suprise the majority of the time. Not that that applies to a blog post but you know what I mean. :)

so these are my awesome new running shoes... I LOVE Nike Air:D

so my Dad was supposed be doing this jump and he was like 'focusing' I think so of course I just had to interupt that;)

believe it or not that is my heart:) see the cross? ;)

my sissy and Jackson... love them both! :)

one of those "only in the south..." things... it says " DO NOT TOUCH! Fire ants and insectiside!" lol

that's right... I am the proud new owner of an ipod touch and I LOVE it:)

my lovely creation:) btw... my record is 4 second is case you were wondering:)

"We will never forget..."

As I was thinking about what to post on here in remembrance of 9/11, I decided on a video tribute I found last year that I really think was a good video. Unfortunately, YouTube isn't working so I couldn't post it. So, what I'm about to post is from me. It's truly original.

I'm sure we all remember where on September 11, 2001. I was only 4 but I remember almost everything that happened that day. I wasn't old enough to really grasp what had happened but, I knew it was bad. Very bad. As I got older, I did more research about it. Every new fact that I learned made it harder for me. I mean I was having a hard time grasping that fact that that many people died. It wasn't fair. As I got older and understood more, I realized the importance of us remembering. I also learned that there is a difference between saying you'll never forget and actually getting choked up when you say you will never forget. My point is, there's a difference between that people who just say they will never forget and those who truly mean they will never forget. I would like to encourage you to just say a little prayer for the families of those who died on September 11, 2001. I'm sure they would appreciate it.

"We will never forget..."

Let me hear ya say, "OH YEAH!!!!"

So, last night (and I do mean last night) I ran a 5k... it started at 10:00 p.m. It was my first 5k... and my time was 30 min. 22 sec.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was soooo excited:) and my totally beast Dad ran the 5k with me and then went and ran the 10k... showoff... but I'm proud of him... gives me new goals for my running:)

"Now what makes it great?"

What makes any sport great? The satisfaction of accomplishing a goal. You went through the pain, the countless hours you spent icing injuries, all those times you lost, that's what makes it great.

oh goodness...

School has started. It feels like my life is over. But everyone has to do it... Oh well. I tend to write in short sentences for some reason. It's kinda weird... a high-schooler typing in 3 to 5 word sentences instead of 30 to 50. Of course you know I'm just kidding:). Back to school... since I have school now, my blog will be on the very bottom of my to do list... right next to watching tv. I know all you guys are probably gonna start crying because you're gonna miss me so much:). Because I mean who wouldn't miss me? I'm clearly the greatest person that ever lived right? And I'm humble;). (There is no need to worry about what I just said... nothing that I said is true and I know that... I'm not crazy... or that prideful... though I am very prideful... I am human) So, now that I have informed you why I haven't been posting I guess I should go eat breakfast. I hope y'all have a totally awesome day! :)

Toast and Milk

I had toast and milk for breakfast. I just thought I'd let you know that absolutely useless information. But anyway, my main reason for doing this post is just to give you an update about life. Last Thursday we had friends from Ohio come to our house and they stayed until Wednesday of this week. We totally had a blast. I made a video of us having the time of our lives but it wouldn't upload. Sigh. Hopefully I will eventually get it uploaded:). I have quite a few pictures but I won't put them all up now. Actually I think I might save that for another post.

Soccer practice started this week. Last week was camp and it was kinda killer. Not that that made sense or anything;). It was really hot and that was the main reason it was killer. Soccer practice last night was pretty fun. I even had fun doing fitness at the beginning and end because "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". That's been my motto along with my favorite verse, Matthew 19:26 ~ And Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, But with God all things are possible." Thinking those two things kinda helps that feeling of "I'm gonna die" go away:).

Well, I guess I'm gonna go so I don't bore you to death. Hope y'all have a great day!

I waited too long.... again

Yes. It's true. I have forgotten to post of yet another momentous occasion in my life. I even told you I would post pictures and like 3 weeks later I still haven't done it. Oh well. I am going to post a couple of the pictures now so you're not completely in the dark:) Those are pictures of my cousins (Abby and Elizabeth... yes, they are twins) when they came for a visit:)

dRiViNg PiCtUrEs!!!!!!!!!

Best driver of the day:)

Grandma ~ the driving instructor:)

MOOOOOOOOOOO

Caroline right after she informed us that she almost drove a golfcart into a ditch...and she's about to drive a real car...

"We're all gonna die!!!"

Yes. My Mother got up enough courage to stand in front of a vehicle with my behind the wheel:)

My Great Revelation

After all these years I finally found what I needed. Something I can do by myself to think. Whether I'm thinking about a conversation I've had, or what I read in my Bible reading. It's just me. I've found that when I run I think clearer. I have a better outlook on life. It clears my mind and makes me feel better. Now I'm not saying running can solve all your problems... You want something like that, God is the only answer. Hope y'all have a great day! Now get out there and run:)

July 25, 2011

So, I haven't been a very good blogger lately... I really need to work on that. You would think that during the summer I would have more time to blog but I don't. I will try to keep this blog updated more. So, I put some more of my running time on my running page. You should go check it out:). The last two running entries were really fun because I ran with Caroline. I mean what better motivation than to run faster then your best friend? ;) I think I actually work harder when I work out with Caroline because we have a competition... constantly. But we wouldn't have it any other way. I'm getting ready to go the gym and hopefully run 25 minutes and do some weight lifting. After that, at home I'm going to do some sit ups, push ups, and plank especially for Caroline. My workouts from now until the first week of August (which is like next week) are going to be pretty intense. I have soccer camp coming up that's 2 1/2 hours every night all week. I've done it before but I want to be able to do it better this time around:). Well, i guess I better head off to the gym before it gets too late. Have a great day!

Running Page

Well, I finally did it. I made a running page for you snoopy blog readers to see how I'm doing with my running:). I'm kidding. You guys aren't snoopy... there's not that many of you quite frankly. :) But the page is up so feel free to go to it and see how I'm doing:)

long time no blog:)

It's been about 12 days since I have done a post on my blog... sorry about that. I would say I've been busy, but, compared to last school year, I am nowhere near busy. I have a lot of pictures that I'm going to put up on my blog but I won't do that right now. Hopefully I will have them put up by tonight. Nothing really exciting has happened lately... I mean yesterday I wiped out on the driveway and now I have a knot on my knee... and my cousins flew in from Florida on Tuesday:) But, I will save all that for the pictures:) Have a great day:)

Happy 4th:)

Well, I hope you all had a great day! I did... I spend most of the day in the pool:). Tomorrow morning I plan on getting up and running and I have a soccer pickup game tomorrow night. I am so excited to get out there and run because I haven't run since I got sick... about a week ago. Well, I'm gonna go and watch the cover show:) Have a good night y'all:)

Update on life

Well, as you might have noticed I haven't blogged since Monday. I have a very good excuse though. See as Tuesday morning... about 12 am... I was sick throwing up... Today I am feeling much better. I didn't have anything to eat yesterday except for about 10 crackers but today I had a bowl of soup and it was amazing:) So, now that you know why I wasn't on blogger, I will end this post before I bore you guys to death with things you don't care about:) Have a great night:)

It's Monday:)

I absolutely love Mondays. I think I've mentioned that before... but they really are awesome:). I'm going to the gym today... depending on my knees I will try to run at least 2 miles... but if they won't let me it will be a short run day. I had a great time at the river on Saturday. I only caught three fish though... 1 rainbow trout and 2 horny heads. The water was really cold but I think that was just because of the rain that we had. We saw a little fawn cross the river too. It was so adorable. I didn't run at all through the weekend but I think it was a good thing I took a rest... if I ran everyday my knees would put an end to my running career:). As I'm typing this I have the straw of my water bottle in my mouth... drinking as much water as possible before I run. It makes me run stronger and faster. I will try and post my time when I get back if I remember:). Well, I guess I'm gonna go... drink more water:) Have a great day:)

Running, Soccer, and Summer Thoughts

I am in an awesome mood right now:). My summer has been going great. Soccer starts up on Tuesday with some pickup games... maybe it won't be as hot as it has been... I doubt it. I ran 1.5 miles today in a little over 12 minutes. I was gonna go 2 miles but we were in a hurry today. I will probably run two miles at least twice this week. I typically only run 2 or more miles at the gym because it's so hot... during the school year I hopefully won't have that problem so we won't have to go to the gym as much. I am super-duper exited about tomorrow because we get to go fishing!!!! That totally made my week:). Well, I guess I'm gonna go eat supper and get a shower before it starts storming again... hope y'all have a good weekend! I may not have time to blog again till Monday but I'm not sure:)

I ran two miles this morning in under twenty minutes!!! I'm very proud of myself:) I'm getting ready to get a shower and get ready for bed... I gotta get up early to run outside tomorrow... have a good night y'all!

A Great Day to Run

Today was a great day to run. To spite the fact that it was close to 90 degrees and it was only 8:50 a.m. I ran with my hair in a bun off my neck and my sleeves rolled up to my shoulders. That was the best I could do I couldn't take anything else off... well, legally... ;) I ran for about 15 minutes which is pretty good considering that I can run 2 miles in 20. Hopefully I will be able to do that again tomorrow. I'm hoping to be able to run 3 miles straight in a little under thirty by at least July... August worst case... In case you were wondering, I'm going to the gym tomorrow... there's no way I could run two to three miles in this heat... well, I could if I got up early enough but I don't... I might Thursday and Friday since those are my shorts days I run outside. I still can't get over how awesome my run was today! And, when I came in, I had fruit and milk for breakfast:) I feel very healthy right now:). My dresser is coming today so I will try and get those pictures posted sometime today... hopefully:) If I forget just shoot me an email ( bnich97@yahoo.com ) If you will excuse me, I have to clean my room before my new piece of furniture gets here... but I hope all of you have a wonderfully blessed day:) I know that didn't sound anything like me but you get the point:)

Never a Dull Moment...

I'm always amazed at what I see everyday. From listening to a sermon on Sundays, to watching my neighbor chase a rabbit across the street. We don't live in a dull neighborhood that's for sure. Everybody knows everybody. If you don't know who somebody is you still wave when they drive past and it only takes about a month for you to find who they are. See, our hood is just the place I love to be. I mean from eating dirt to scooter races to popsicles... We can make anything fun anytime. We have stupid records like who ate the most popsicles in one day... We make up our own games when the ones we already know get boring. And my favorite part about this neighborhood is, you're never too old to play with chalk:) I mean to some almost 14 year old's it may seem babyish but to me it's the highlight of my day:) Well, I guess I better get going since we're leaving to go to the gym... maybe you live in a cool neighborhood like mine... if not... we some houses for sale;)

Saturday(:

I am enjoying yet another Saturday not doin' much of nothin'. Pardon my grammar... :) My day started out great because I my Grandma spent the night with me last night:). Normally it's the other way around... We had a blast! She came over close to 6 yesterday so we went and picked up carry out at Cici's and had that for dinner. After we ate, spent about an hour on our front porch, got showers, and ate ice cream, we played Mario Kart on the Wii until about 11. That was amazingly fun:). I stink really bad right now... I know... totally random but I cut the grass and blew off the driveway and everything and I haven't had a shower yet. Don't worry... I changed clothes when I came inside:). The rest of my day will be spent texting Caroline, getting a shower, eating supper, eating ice cream, watching tv and maybe some more Mario Kart:). Oh and about my room... I still don't have pictures yet... my dresser won't be here until Tuesday. Well, I guess I better go:) Have a good night:)

Running, School, and Fruit

The title might scare you a little but don't worry... nothing I'm going to say now is worse than something I've already said on this blog:). I went to the gym this morning with my Mommy expecting to run a mile... and walk the rest... but I didn't... I ran the full 2 miles and I wasn't about to die when I was finished! I did it kind of slow... 20 min. and 4 sec. But it's not terrible! Before we left though I got my new school planner in the mail. That really excited me because I'm so organized(not OCD... (((*cough*cough*Mom*))). So, that was really exciting for me:). Now to the fruit. Running has inspired me to start making better eating choices. Well, that and the fact I just read about it in my Health book:). I've always known I needed to do this but now that soccer is getting more serious I have to start now. I'm not the best eater... so I've made a pact that for my snacks and with every meal I will have fruit. Hopefully I will stay motivated to do this instead of eating crackers:). Well, I guess I better go cause my Mommy is making burgers (*which I will eat fruit with)... Have a great day!

Tuesday

Well, today has been a pretty awesome day. I got up and my Mommy and I had to run some errands so we left early to get those done. After we finished that we got to go swimming at my grandparents house! I was so stinkin' excited and I had a blast! After that we had to go Wally World (for the 2nd time today) and then we came home. Since we got home after 7 I figured the temperature had dropped some so I went out and ran for about 10 minutes and it was amazing! It really was an awesome run and the best part about it is that it got rid of my headache! Just another reason you should start running:) Well, have a good night!

Good Evening

I am as we speak working on a page for all my videos that I have. Blogger won't upload them so right now I can't publish it... I will try to get that posted as soon as I can but right now it won't work. Hopefully I will get this done by tonight. :)

Room Makeover Pt. 3

This is a picture of just my bed... I will post more pictures soon but I want to wait until I get my dresser so I you guys can see all of it at once! Have a great day!

Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Most of the time you hear that when people are referring to athletes training or a football game... Well, I completely understand what people are talking about. I mean if you come to one of my soccer games you will probably see blood, sweat, and tears. That's just the way it goes. Today I went running... and with it being sooooo hot down here it's very hard to get motivated to run outside for any period of time. I walked back and forth once I was done in the same spot just so I could cool down in the shade... Every little bit helps. Even though today wasn't that great of a run, I still went out there and did it. I only did 15 minutes... but at least I did something. I really want to motivate anybody out there who knows they should be doing this but aren't. Speaking for myself, anyone who goes and does their best at anything is good enough for me. I mean, it's more important for someone to gave 100% heart than to have 100% skill. And if you have heart, the skill will come right behind it. I encourage you to go out and do something you've been putting off today and accept the fact that your best is good enough. Have a great day!

Saturday...

Well, today is Saturday. The day is almost over. I can't that I'm sad that it's over because I had an awesome day! I woke up around 8ish and got ready and cut the grass for my Daddy. After that my Mother and I cleaned up my closet and put some stuff on my walls so that was good. Once we finished in my room (well, what can be done to it without a dresser...) I went out and blew off part of the driveway... I only did part because when I was about 1/2 way done Caroline got here so I stopped. Caroline got here around lunch time and we had a fun time playing Taboo after we ate lunch. And, of course, what day would be complete without laundry? Special thanks goes to Caroline for helping me with the massive mountain of clothes. It was greatly appreciated. Once we finished folding we played Mario Kart on our Wii and then made brownies. Don't worry... we ran after that to make up for the brownies:) Running makes me feel absolutely wonderful but I will talk about that later before I bore you to death. Well, I guess I'm gonna go so I can dry my hair while Caroline's getting a shower and then it's brownie time! Have a great night:)

Room Makeover Pt. 2

This is part of my room... with no furniture... that will be changed very, very soon:)Here's my bed which as of right now is no longer there...

this is my new bedspread on my mattress but, I have no bed frame or rails or anything yet...

Today was kind of a funny day. I was not expecting to get my furniture for at least another week. Maybe even 3 weeks. I was trying to not excite my self about it. The more I though about it the more excited I got. So, I stopped thinking about it all together. It made it easier that way. So, today when I was not thinking about my furniture, my Mom's cell phone started ringing so she went and answered it. Well, guess who it was... it was Larry. Larry called to tell us that my furniture was at the warehouse and would be delivered tomorrow around lunch time. Some people might say I handled it well... I wouldn't say that... I went basically crazy... I mean you would be able to contain yourself if you had never gotten new furniture and then you realized you had some coming tomorrow????? I went a bit crazy but that's ok... It's not really different than normal for me:) So, in conclusion, I will have new furniture tomorrow (unless something happens) which means that you guys will get to see what my new room will look like! Not that you care or anything but now I've made you curious so you kinda want to right? Well, have a good night everybody:)

Summer

Now I think most everyone is out of school for the year. Which could mean you have a ton of free time on your hands or you have a ton of stuff planned for this summer. I am kind of in a happy medium. I have to train for soccer and I am going to work on some of my classes but I also have a lot of free time to just hang out. I was just randomly thinking about what most kids do over the summer. We do nothing. Well, most kids do. I'm not saying you shouldn't relax on your summer break at all because that would be awful! What I am saying is that in your down time I encourage you to just sit down for at least 5 minutes and just read your Bible. You would be surprised at how much it helps you through the day. I know it helps me. It just makes my day so smoothly and helps me to focus on what I should be focusing on. I just wanted to encourage you to do that this summer and even on into the school year. Have a great day!

Sweet... or not:)

This is sweet in a good way. We're not acting this time... we actually love eachother:)

Now this is sweet. Don't I just have the cutest grandparents?I'm sure everyone says that about their grandparents but this is priceless. In a good way. Not like the one above on my sister... that's priceless as in wow... can you tell we didn't really wanna be out there getting pictures taken? There are not words to describe that picture... All I can say is, that's Ashley for you... :) On a sidenote, this is my 100th post! Not that you care:)

Room Makeover Pt.1

So, today Caroline and I will be working on my room. It was exactly a week ago today that we ordered my furniture and the guys it should take 2 to 4 weeks. Since we don't have furniture we will have to stick with measuring and using sticky notes to decide where my furniture will go. I will get a before picture for all you guys to see and then an after picture and it will be amazing:). Well, I'm gonna go so we can get started but I may post those pictures later. Have a great day!

100!

Well, I figured since I'm almost to my 100th post I should give the blog a new look and a new font. Actually I just decided to change my background and then I saw that I was almost at 100. So, I hope you like the new design... if you don't... don't tell me... because I like it:). Well, I guess I better go since I have a guest... I mean it's Caroline... anyway I hope you have a good night!

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Saturday...night:)

Well, I went to a cookout tonight at a friends house. It was pretty fun:) I am also very excited because Caroline got to come home with me:) We plan on making brownies but that probably won't happen until like 10... I have a feeling it will be hard to go to sleep tonight... just sayin':)

Sneak Peek:)

This is a sneak peek to all the fun we had last night. Just for your information I went much further than what is shown in this video which is why it was so fun:). Have a great day!

Friday, June 3, 2011

It's Friday Night!

I came in about 9:45 from playing in the water... I love summer:) I will hopefully get some pictures posted tomorrow but we all know how that goes... Have a good night:)
