Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a holiday that is very important to me. My Dad served in the Air force before I was born and went over seas to fight in Dessert Storm. Even though I wasn't alive yet I understand how hard it was for him to do that. A ton of my family members have served in the military and all of them make me so proud. I'm not only proud of my family but I am proud of all the men and women who have fought for this country and some even made the ultimate sacrifice. There is nothing we can do to repay them for that but, I think it's very important to show them we care. I am proud to call myself an American and I am pretty much as patriotic as they come. God comes first always and my country is second. I will always hold my flag high and wear red, white, and blue often. I will always cry when taps is played, as we look at the flag, and remember. I will always get chills when we sing our nations' anthem. I will always feel heart broken when only the flag comes home from war. To some people it's just going through the motions, but I have a passion for my country. I respect for those who fought because they have courage and honor I dream of having. I will always remember that this country was founded IN God... and never leave Him out because this is His country, not mine. We have a duty to protect and defend this country. We have a duty to support those who do. I want you to say before the day is over, I'm proud to be and American in this nation under God. That is my heart beat.

God bless America!

Have a great night!

Gone Fishin'

How better to spend Memorial Day than at the river fishin'? Well, actually there are a few I guess but we had a blast! The picture right above is of me with my only brown trout I caught today. My hand is holding him still so you can't see his full length but he was pretty big:). I also caught 2 catfish and 2 chubs. All four of my grandparents came and that was a first and I hope not a last:). I am probably going to end up doing a video and if blogger will cooperate I will post it up here for you to see:) If case you didn't notice in the pictures not everyone is fishing... and sadly, not everyone is fishing. We have tubers and we have fishers... that's how it is.

home at last:)

That's right. Our family is back from the beach. Sadly. We had a blast but, we knew it had to end. Hopefully sometime within the next week I will have all of the beach pictures up on their own personal page. There are way too many to put in one post. I would work on it this evening but I have to unpack and get a shower and eat supper and go to bed... but probably not in that order. :) The beach is one of the highlights of our year. Like I said before, our family at the beach is the definition of rest and relaxation. It's awesome. Even though we love the beach, I was glad to be home. Not even paradise can replace my home. Well, I need to go get everything done... but don't worry I will be working on that page so you can see Ashley (not my sister) and some gnarly body surfing by me and my Dad. Hope you have a great evening!

A Night on the Town...and a crabbing dock (:

Monday Sunrise

Well , you might have guessed that I haven't put all of the pictures up yet. I don't know if I ever will get all of them up... in a post that is. Hopefully once we get back I will have all the pictures and videos ready and I will create a beach page so you can see them whenever you want. I would love to put together a slide show instead of just putting pictures on there because that would take forever. I'm sure most of you know that a slide show of pictures with music is a whole lot better than one without music so if you have any ideas about what songs would work I would love to hear about it! I'm open to all and any suggestions. I hope I haven't bored you to death with my beach pictures but if I have feel free to tell me... you won't hurt my feelings:) Maybe I will post more pictures later... If not, I hope you all have a great day!
